Ben

Ben brought his transformer to school for his oral language. It could talk to us and had flashing lights. He got it for his fifth birthday from the Warehouse. He showed us how you could make it transform and then we wrote about it.

making our leaves on Thursday the 29th of July

What a fantastic community we have here at Foxton Beach school. We had all these wonderful parents, Grandparents, Uncles and retired teachers all come and help us with our sewing. We have had three little sisters come and join in as well. Enjoy our pictures of the day.

Jazlyn

This is Jazlyn's pink Tutu that she had to show us for news on Wednesday the 28th of July. She was able to do her dance for the class to watch and then we wrote about it for written language.

Jazlyn

On Wednesday Jazlyn performed her ballet dance for room 2. She showed us her special shoes that help her go up on her toes and her beautiful Tutu. We all wrote about what we saw.

K-Dee

It was K- Dee's turn to bring something for news. She has her soft dog that she got from her cousin Sky. It has a lead and a beautiful red and white bow on its head.

The Giant has arrived

When we got to school on Monday morning we found the giant had come out of his castle and is waiting at the top of the beanstalk. We are all hoping he is going to stay up the top and not come down and grind our bones to make his bread!

The beanstalk is up

Great news here is everyone sitting in front of the beanstalk. We are waiting for the giant I wonder if he will come? We had some people away today so they are missing from our photo.

Making the beanstalk

Room 2 made their beanstalk out of hesian. We painted it green and brown. Then we scrunched up paper and stuffed our bean stalk. Chad from the senior room came and helped us. We had lots of fun pushing the paper in, as we could fit inside the beanstalk. Our hands got really black. It magically went up the wall against Mrs Mortensen's desk. We want to know if the giant is going to come for a visit? Watch this blog to find out!

Mya

Mya got this lovely paper weight from her Nana. It is made of glass and has fish and coral inside.

She was able to tell us all about it and we used it for our writing.
Edward got this wonderful truck for his birthday. It had flashing
lights and could talk to us. We all laughed when it talked to us. We made this awesome recording of Edward talking to us but we weren't able to put it on our blog. We are going to use Edward's truck for our written language tomorrow. We ran out of time today because we had all been very good so we got an extra ten minutes in the playground.
